Fall Wardrobe Essentials

The 90/10 Rule:  90% of your wardrobe should be classic staples. The other 10% should be trendy. - Milena Counsulting

There are certain clothes that most fashion experts agree on basics to have in your wardrobe. With these essentials, regardless of the occasion you will always be well dressed. Take a look at a few Fall Essentials!

Im was to expound on a couple of these.

1.  Striped Tees:
I personally am in LOVE with stripes. Striped shirts are and easy way to experiment with color blocking. But, the stripes dont have to be black and white. Color blocking sweaters are even better! Mixing stripes with other patterns, in both subtle and hectic combinations, is very trendy.

Color Blocking with red pumps, Turquoise bottoms, and a Black, white, and yellow color block shirt.

2.  Navy Blazer:
Since it's fall, it's time to invest in a host of new jackets. What better to invest in than a fabulous blazer? Blazers are a staple for fall because they can easy dress up any outfit and the color possibilities are endless! Blazers are also PERFECT for almost any occasion to give a nice polished chic look.

*Try dressing up a navy blazer with a overlapping belt*

3. Leopard Loafers

My new obsession. Loafers. I recently purchased a pair of studded loafers that are fabulous! but Leopard Loafers are whats really popular this fall. From Forever 21 to Steve Madden everyone is on board with this new trend. How do you feel about loafers?

These Steve Madden ones are my favorite.

MASTER Color Blocking!

Color Blocking was a huge trend during the spring/summer 2012 fashion season, and guess what its not going anywhere for Fall! Color block not only with clothes, but accessories too!

A well-inspired and ingenious usage of colours can generate a visually balanced image, with an bold impact, which is pleasing to the eye.

1. Pair separates

Consider pairing a BOLD bright top with nude bottoms

2. Kick it up a notch

Once you grasp the neutral wit the bold, try one bold + one bright + one neutral = GENIUS

3. Opposites Attract!

Dont be afraid to try a good color combination. It's helpful to understand the complentary colors on a color wheel

Outfit of the day (OOTD)

Today's outfit of the day is simple but stylish at the same time! I have had this cobalt blue skirt for a little while now and finally found the perfect opportunity to wear it. Originally, I wasn't sure what to pair it with, so I took it easy and added some cute accessories on the way. This outfit consist of a white Ralph Lauren button up (Marshall's), a cobalt blue Darjonj skirt (Marshall's), black Donald Pliner heels, pyramid studs (FOREVER 21), my favorite watch (Nordstrom), and a fun double chain necklace (Gap).

Next time I wear this I plan on pairing it with a colorful statement necklace to make the skirt POP!

Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

(Click To Open)

STRIPES! I am in love with stripes. Stripes are perfect for all occasions, interviews, school, hanging out , you name it. (Matter if fact this is the dress I wore to my interview for MoD)

Black and white stripes are IDEAL for color blocking. You can compliment a striped black and white top with a pair of yellow pants (or any other color of your choosing) for a POP of color. Dare to be different! Try something other than black, white and red.

In this OOTD I simply paired my striped dress (Marshalls) with a gold Juicy Couture chain necklace, a black blazer and a PAIR OF BCBG, Black and white open toe wedges.

One time I did an fun bun updo and then another time I did straight hair.

Outfit Of The Day (OOTD)

Today's outfit of the day is one of my FAVORITE dresses! This ethnic print dress is an easy transitional outfit. It acts as a summer dress but can be easily transformed into a fall ensemble by adding a pair of fall boots, knee high socks, and a cute jean jacket.

(Cross necklace from Forever 21)

I paired this ethnic print dress with a taupe pair of Steve Madden flats...

and a fabulous snake ring from MoD and a gold bracelet from a friend.

Fall’s Fiercest Polish

MoD has Fall's Fiercest Polishes! I personally LOVE nail polish. I NEVER have plain, bare nails. Nail polish is a fun, simple, and subtle way to express yourself! You can rock funky colors or cool calm tones. Some people use polish to coordinate with their outfits.

MoD has many new polishes fore everyone's needs! Make sure you stop by and check them out.
And... THEY ARE ONLY $3.00! It dosent get any better than that.

Handbag Haul!

I'm so excited and so in love with MoD's new handbags! You can compliment all ensembles and easily dress up any dress down outfit with these fabulous finds without breaking the bank!

Top Left: Avaliable in Cognac and Buttercup. Ideal handbag for fall!

Top Right: Green and Brown handles. Don't be afraid to add a little color to your wardrobe this season.

Bottom Left: Avaliable in Teal and Buttercup. I personally love the color of this handbag, it's not a color you usually see people carrying. Maybe YOU could change that..

Bottom Right: Black fringe purse avaliable in black and pewter. This is definently a statement maker. DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!

ps. MoD still has a couple older handbags left!

ALSO AVAILABLE IN PINK!

Go Crazy!

If you haven't already been to MoD, these new arrivals will SURELY have you running in!

With fall quickly creeping in, these new leggings are a great addition to any wardrobe. Leggings can look tacky with the wrong footwear! I prefer flats or boots. . If you’re planning to wear a shirt with your leggings, it should be long and have some volume to balance out the tightness of your bottoms.

The charcoal cut out leggings are Rihanna inspired!
