Cute Cargos

Lately, I have fallen madly, deeply in love with Cargo pants. They give a sleek hot military look. But, beyond the contrary thought, they come in a variety of earth tone but the green are my FAVORITE.

In the past, cargos have been more of a casual item, even though they are still a bit causal they can be dressed up and be made VERY stylish. They can be work skinny, cropped or even rolled.

Try Adding these items to your cargos:

  • A Blazer
  • Heels or Stylish flats (Try Stilettos!)
  • Cute top

Holiday Nails!

The holidays are quickly approaching and holiday nail designs are a fun festive way to celebrate! Kick the plain manicure to the side and try out these funky nail designs.

I love getting my nails done to match with the holidays. Its a minor change that can make such a statement. Such a fun and easy way to play with colors.

Studs, Studs, and More Studs!

This season we find studs everywhere! its no longer just a trend for rock stars, punk style or rebels. It appears that everyone is slowly embracing this new fashion trend. Studs on are appearing on jackets, blazers, shoes, jeans, shirt collars (my favorite) and much more. MoD currently has a fabulous stud skirt for sale! What do you think?

YES! those are studs on the skirt! Exclusively at MoD.
This skirt still give off a feminine appeal while the studs at a bit of edge to it. Perfect for the holidays...

Not to long ago I purchased these Steve Madden SUPRSTUD pumps but they hurt my feet so bad I had to send them back!

Since I sent those back I was able to get a less expensive pair from ShoeDazzle.com for only $39.95 and the shoes are almost IDENTICAL.

These shoes are cheaper and still just a fabulous as Steve Madden and provide a lot more comfort than the other ones.  These also had a bit more pizazz!

More Peplum Please!

There is no way to ignore Peplum this fall. It's become my new obsession!

Looks great belted, unbelted and is a welcome addition to shirts, dresses and skirts alike. It’s that little flounce at the waist that gives some classic feminine pep to jackets, dresses, sweaters and skirts.

Peplum is appearing in dresses, jackets, skirts, and skirts. Peplum is on of Fall's essential pieces. Now, it's appearing in stores and hopefully your wardrobe.

But.. how do you wear a Peplum Top?

1. With sleek trousers (for work)
2. Wear your peplum top with a pencil skirt (for work)
3. Printed leggings (for fun)

From the runway..

To Everyday..

MoD also sells Peplum :). Check it out!

This skirt, leaves me speechless.

Fall Scarves!

Fall Scarves!
As it begins to get a little chilly out, its time to start bundling up! My favorite accessory for this fall is hands down the fashion scarf. Its the ideal fashion accessory because not only is it perfect for the weather, but its perfect for fashion.  Many people shy away from wearing scarves. Normally, it because they don't know how to wear them! Scarves can make any boring outfit have fashion flare.  It is the perfect way to add a pop of color (or print) to any outfit.

Take a look at two of my FAVORITE fall scarves. What do you think?

This cheetah scarf was paired with with this hunter green jacket is perfect for fall. The cheetah scarf is a fun accent.

This is my ULTIMATE favorite fall scarf. Knit scarves are not only cute and fashionable, they are also warm and cozy! Almost nothing can compete with a knit scarf. Once you find a knit scarf you love, there is no getting rid of it.

Fall Wardrobe Essentials

The 90/10 Rule:  90% of your wardrobe should be classic staples. The other 10% should be trendy. - Milena Counsulting

There are certain clothes that most fashion experts agree on basics to have in your wardrobe. With these essentials, regardless of the occasion you will always be well dressed. Take a look at a few Fall Essentials!

Im was to expound on a couple of these.

1.  Striped Tees:
I personally am in LOVE with stripes. Striped shirts are and easy way to experiment with color blocking. But, the stripes dont have to be black and white. Color blocking sweaters are even better! Mixing stripes with other patterns, in both subtle and hectic combinations, is very trendy.

Color Blocking with red pumps, Turquoise bottoms, and a Black, white, and yellow color block shirt.

2.  Navy Blazer:
Since it's fall, it's time to invest in a host of new jackets. What better to invest in than a fabulous blazer? Blazers are a staple for fall because they can easy dress up any outfit and the color possibilities are endless! Blazers are also PERFECT for almost any occasion to give a nice polished chic look.

*Try dressing up a navy blazer with a overlapping belt*

3. Leopard Loafers

My new obsession. Loafers. I recently purchased a pair of studded loafers that are fabulous! but Leopard Loafers are whats really popular this fall. From Forever 21 to Steve Madden everyone is on board with this new trend. How do you feel about loafers?

These Steve Madden ones are my favorite.

What are your favorite fall staples?

MASTER Color Blocking!

Color Blocking was a huge trend during the spring/summer 2012 fashion season, and guess what its not going anywhere for Fall! Color block not only with clothes, but accessories too!

A well-inspired and ingenious usage of colours can generate a visually balanced image, with an bold impact, which is pleasing to the eye.

1. Pair separates

Consider pairing a BOLD bright top with nude bottoms

2. Kick it up a notch

Once you grasp the neutral wit the bold, try one bold + one bright + one neutral = GENIUS

3. Opposites Attract!

Dont be afraid to try a good color combination. It's helpful to understand the complentary colors on a color wheel

Outfit of the day (OOTD)

Today's outfit of the day is simple but stylish at the same time! I have had this cobalt blue skirt for a little while now and finally found the perfect opportunity to wear it. Originally, I wasn't sure what to pair it with, so I took it easy and added some cute accessories on the way. This outfit consist of a white Ralph Lauren button up (Marshall's), a cobalt blue Darjonj skirt (Marshall's), black Donald Pliner heels, pyramid studs (FOREVER 21), my favorite watch (Nordstrom), and a fun double chain necklace (Gap).

Next time I wear this I plan on pairing it with a colorful statement necklace to make the skirt POP!
